YES you can!

Just make sure they dont have rips in them ot two toned wash ect.

A nice dark one wash boot leg jean would be good with a dressier/fancier top & some cute shoes would be GREAT!

And some cute jewlery. =)

Thats the great thing about jeans, you can dres them up & dress them down and especially if your young you could definately pull it off.

Another idea is a cute casual top or dress over some leggings if you want your legs covered.

Plus you said its semi formal not formal.
