Can you tell me how to stop Y/A from taking so many "Coffee Breaks"? ?

It seems like once each night I try to post an important answer and Y/A just has to take a 3 hour "coffee break". Their breathers take so long I suspect they are going to a hospital for breathing treatments. Does Y/A have a breathing disorder?

Is it getting on anyone else's nerves besides mine? It always happens when I have an answer I took time to compose and really want to post.

If you have any suggestions on how to solve this problem (AVOIDING ALL OBSCENITIES AND USELESS COMMENTS) please let me know how to fix this!

Update:

Susan, I'd try to post it but it takes about an hour for me to figure out where to post it and then HOPE someone reads it....sigh. This is why I put it as a question hoping for a more active way to get it noticed.

It just seems weird that the coffee break/breather sign ONLY comes up as I post an answer. That is what makes me feel PARANOID - like someone is picking on me directly....yes, I DO know I'm not that important =)....My sense of humor is what has gotten me this far, ya know???

Update 2:

Johnny, Thanks for the spiritual suggestions. I DO ALREADY HAVE A SPIRITUAL LIFE. Yahoo is simply what I do AFTER the more important issues of life are taken care of. I am partially disabled and I admit I get fussy when my favorite hobby gets interrupted by what looks like a useless "coffee break"

Maybe it would be less annoying if they stopped calling it a coffee break and called it something more technical. Coffee breaks aren't supposed to take 3 hours - Technical Maintenance does sound like a 3 hour kind of process!!!

Update 3:

Thanks for all the great answers. You gave me some suggestions and I will try them.

The hardest part of asking a question is having to choose a BA. I hate that as I appreciate all who take time to answer.

So, don't be sad if I didn't pick your answer, there's too many to choose from.

Alot of those are people who have blocked you from being able to answer their questions, and I think also that answers may be screening your answers sometimes as well, what I do is because sometimes your answers don't get posted is I go back one, copy my answer leave there check my profile to see if my answer went through and if not then I paste my answer from a new (try) then it will go through unless it was really blocked from being answered.

I got really annoyed with the constant "breathers" when I was posting an answer - but when I checked back, my answers did get posted.

I've asked questions while the site was down, and they did post - it took a tiny bit longer, that's all.

So now I just carry on regardless. I can't see what the point of them is.

    Hi Leslie,

I agree these "coffee breaks" are annoying! Fortunately, I've never had something I've written or answered interrupted when those "breaks" are announced. Still, it is irritating. I think we should all post an email petition stating that we want our time on here uninterupted! There are 90 million people that use Y!A, so we outnumber the Y!A staff!

I know what you mean! Once I tried to ask a question about female health, and it took me a whole week or close enough to ask it because of coffee breaks or breathers!

Love you, sis! Best of luck on getting the answer you need!

    Blessings!

Apparently these frequent breathers and coffee breaks are required to recharge the grossly overloaded system with 90 million global users.

Perhaps you might want to post your concerns in the Forum where Yahoo! staff will see them as they do peruse the Forum.

I really don't know. I gave up trying to answer any questions Sun. all I got were "we're taking a breather" when I would try to post an answer. I think I did manage to get one through, after several "retries".

Hi, I only think... have more patience w/ Y/A...and choose to do other more interesting and urgent matters. Its like admitting Y/A has its inert illness we can't help but needs little patience to avoid stresses instead. Must we enjoy the day or moments of our soul searching, I suggest.

They do take long breaks at times. This happened to me when I was editing back and forth some answers I believe its happens when someone has blocked or reported you.

i know!! that always happens to me too! but i found if i just keep pressing the link or question or whatever it opens it. just try it it works for me. also what i would do if you are posting a question, is copy what you wrote so if it doesn't post then you can just paste the question instead of having to retype it. good luck!

that does happen a lot. Sometimes happens if you have been blocked by the asker.
