I have started going through menopause and am getting hot flashes every couple of hours at night. It wakes me up and then it's hard to get back to sleep. What have any of you had luck at to help stop these?

Is there anything mentioned in the manual about the refresh rate, (time period) of the flash unit? My own experience has shown that repetitive flash use tends to drain batteries the fastest, and at some point, the voltage level in the batteries, whether conventional or Lithium will tend to drop low enough that the flash is unable to refresh high enough to fully recharge high enough to facilitate a flash discharge. Waiting appears to have allowed the batteries to recover enough voltage/current to meet the minimum voltage necessary to fully charge the flash storage capacitor via the step-up transformer, that's if they still use step-up transformers anymore to generate the 3 or so hundred volts to discharge the Xenon flash tube.

Well, my Mom used to take her clothes off, crank up the AC and stick her head in the freezer. No joke. When my EX lived with us we would snuggle up together with like 3 blankets, sweats, socks, and a couple shirts just to stay warm. She told me after her hot flash would pass she would check the thermometer and our house would be in the 50's.
