if she believes in creationism, which I'm guess she does since she's Pentecostal, then she believes the earth is around 6,000 years old. There is mention that she wants creationism taught in public schools.

That is a blatant distortion of what fundamentalists (and Jews) believe. The Bible uses the phrase "the beginning of THE NUMBERING of days" or "the beginning of THE COUNTING OF time", and idiot non-believers tranlate that as "the beginning of time", when it is obviously a reference to CALENDARS.

And, if fact, in the Jewish Calendar the year is 5769.
