On The question of Democrats vs. Republicans?

Our country has been split and continually divided over the years over political party passions. Will we continue to agree to disagree in a civilized fashion, or is another civil war a future possibility? Or is it possible we might throw off the shackles of party politics, align ourselves as american brothers in arms, and revolt against our government?

Please, you get all the first years coming in here to get all fired up and rattle cages. Yes, that's the perfect attitude for compromise. Lets face that these people would rather argue than learn what leadership is about.

We are divided due to such differing views from each other - I can see the potential for riot, but I think that would be isolated occurrences. and both sides are in strong support of their positions.

I can't see a revolt against the government because too many americans have elected the officials in power.

And of course the radicals will always act out when things don't go their way (like the right wing radicals who bomb medical facilities, or the animal rights groups who cause harm and danger in order to make their point).

We are divided because one party (Republicans) think all wealth should be concentrated in the hands of the rich while the middle class and low income Americans rely on the crumbs that drop from their tables. On the other hand the Democrats want a fair distribution of the countries wealth by giving tax cuts to the middle class and low income Americans. Provide healthcare for all and give an apportunity for all to have a college education and be able to work and support their families.

This is the main reason for the divide.

no longer in all probability, that's greater like this Democrat vs. Republican= efficient government administration of your existence to the smallest ingredient vs. very own accountability. additionally, i understand a great form of Democrats who're rich exterior of Hollywood. What you're spouting is the left wing mantra that has been around for some years.

Well the devide is superficial anyway. Both parties essentially are the same, with intervention, illegal immigration, gigantic government, federal power over states rights, monetary policy, etc. Things like education and abortion are supposed to be decided by the individual states according to the constitution.

until the people realize that this government is not here to save us all, we will never revolt. every 4 years its the same BS circus act, with some new faces involved to give us the false perception that a change for the better will come...

No every time a 9/11 type incident happens people put their passion aside for about a year then get right back at it

That is a remote possibility. Especially given the fact that, even though there are many differences in the two parties, neither of them seem interested in doing what they are elected to do, which is represent the majority of their constituents.

The divisions are even in neighborhoods, not just states or cities. It would be more of a riot instead of a war.
