You can go to http://www.geocities.com/lifemasteraj/beginner10.h...
1. You should never move your Rook in the beggining.
2. You should try to attack in the starting with the Bishops and Queen and Horses.
3. Never think that Pawns are dumb and useless because you'll only know their importance at the end when you want to get your Queen back. Pawns are very important.
4. Queen with Horses and Bishops can be VERY fatal and lethal.
5. Bring your Queen early in the game so you can attack and be aggresive from the start.
6. Never go in a defensive position as the opponent will have advantage.
7. Try some powerful combinations with the Queen. It'll be helpful.
I hope these tips helped you. By the way, I forgot to tell you that I won a tournament in my school in chess and got 100$ as gift from the principle.

Chess is a game for two players. It is played on an 8x8 checkered board, with a dark square in each player's lower left corner.
Each player controls its own army of pieces (chessmen). The player who controls White pieces moves first.
The goal in the chess game is to capture the opponent's king. This capture is called 'checkmate'. Checkmate happens once the king is under attack, cannot move and cannot be helped by its own army of chessmen.
