Tee hee... I won't say it is because he is a "flip flopper"...
That would be just a tad too poetic at this point...
I think he has no other choice than to make Obama's case for him... the only alternative is to keep saying "everything is just fine" and get ousted from his seat in the Senate by people with torches and pitchforks...

Mistakes are sometimes ok if the person actually learns from their previous position. However, during an election year if this happens it has more to do with votes than truth sadly enough. And i do believe that in his case it was for votes. He could not honestly get back on television and say the same thing he said a few days before, he would have lost votes then. And also the democrats would have proved even more that he does not understand the economy. However, he is screwed either way because he switched his position after looking at the current state of things. I guess he just does not understand after all.

McCain obviously holds no permanent convictions about anything...he will say or do anything to get to be Commander in Chief.
If McCain had any balls at all, he would have said no to his father when he was forced to attend Annapolis, instead of studying literature like he wanted.
He has never accepted the fact that he doesn't have to beat his dad at his dad's game. Sounds like Bush...huh?
Are we going to put ourselves through THAT again.

Sadly, he is pandering for votes.
It is putting him on the right side of the issue though.
In 2005, he sponsored a bill to provide regulation for just this type of situation, too. It didn't pass for some reason.

I don't know! It doesn't make any sense, does it??
WE GOT INTO THIS MESS from no regulation or oversight of the damn credit/mortgage industry, we're reeling from the repercussions, and it's FAR from over - and he comes out and says he's "basically for deregulation?"
