I can't think of any off the top of my head, but if you go to bible.com, you can search just about anything. The bible talks about Love, but not the way you going to want to read it, do you understand what I mean? I'm just saying you will need to open yourself before hand.

Trish, there will always be people who betray you and let you down. Even after you trusted them. Maybe one day it might even be you who betrays somebody else?
Somewhere in Matthew's gospel, Peter asks Jesus "if my brother sins against me, how many times should I forgive him? Seven times?"
Jesus answers by saying, you should forgive him 'not seven times' but seventy seven times".
Peter wants to put a limit on forgiving, as we all do.
But Jesus teaches us to keep on forgiving. Never stop.
Have a read of the crucifixion account in Matthews gospel chapters 26, 27 and 28 and get an eyeful of all the sins men committed against God's Son. And God forgave all that!! There's our example. It's also proof that God indeed loves us, despite our sins against Him. Because only God could forgive all that. Any other God/Creator would have grown weary of the way people treated Him and blown the earth to kingdom come and started out with a fresh batch of people!

Well, actually, everyone undergoes this situation sometimes..
Philippians 4:6 says..
"Do not be anxious about anything but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanks giving, present your requests to God"
Jesus Himself was rejected, disrespected by His OWN PEOPLE.
But Jesus said, "The stone, the builders rejected has become the cap stone". Trust me.. If you are a good person, you will face a lot of circumstances like these. Remember the above verses and pray. Thats it..

People will let you down, but God will never let you down. I have found that I can't even trust myself in many things, but God has always been faithful. When someone disappoints me, I let it be a reminder that God will never do that to me.
(Psa 118:8) "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."
(Php 4:4) "Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice."
(Heb 13:5,6) "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."

Maybe this example of how Jesus handled a situation that a friend failed him. Look at the scriptures and see if you find the help to deal with your friend and your feelings.
Jesus had a close relationship with the apostle Peter, a warmhearted man who at times was impulsive. Jesus recognized the good qualities of Peter and extended special privileges to him. Peter, along with James and John, personally witnessed certain miracles that the rest of the 12 did not get to see. (Matthew 17:1, 2; Luke 8:49-55) As we noted earlier, Peter was one of the apostles who accompanied Jesus farther into the garden of Gethsemane on the night of His arrest. Yet, that same night when Jesus was betrayed and taken into custody, Peter and the other apostles abandoned Jesus and fled. Later, Peter proved brave enough to stand outside while Jesus was illegally tried. Still, Peter then became fearful and made a serious mistake—three times he lyingly denied that he even knew Jesus! (Matthew 26:69-75) How did Jesus react? How would you have responded if a close friend let you down in such a way?
Jesus was prepared to forgive Peter. He knew that Peter was crushed by the weight of his sin. After all, the repentant apostle “broke down and gave way to weeping.” (Mark 14:72) On the day of His resurrection, Jesus appeared to Peter, likely to comfort and reassure the apostle. (Luke 24:34; 1 Corinthians 15:5) Less than two months later, Jesus dignified Peter by letting him take the lead in giving a witness to the crowds in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost. (Acts 2:14-40) Let us remember, too, that Jesus did not hold a grudge against the apostles as a group for abandoning him. On the contrary, after his resurrection, he still called them “my brothers.” (Matthew 28:10) Is it not clear that Jesus did more than just preach forgiveness?
As disciples of Christ, we need to learn to forgive others. Why? Unlike Jesus, we are imperfect—as are those who may sin against us. From time to time, we all stumble in word and in deed. (Romans 3:23; James 3:2) By forgiving others when there is a basis for mercy, we clear the way for our own sins to be forgiven by God. (Mark 11:25) How, then, can we demonstrate a readiness to forgive those who may sin against us? In many cases, love helps us to overlook the minor sins and shortcomings of others. (1 Peter 4:8) When those who have wronged us are sincerely repentant, as Peter was, surely we want to imitate Jesus’ willingness to forgive. Rather than holding a grudge, we wisely choose to let go of resentment. (Ephesians 4:32) By doing so, we contribute to the peace of the congregation as well as to our own peace of mind and heart.—1 Peter 3:11.
Since I don't know the extent of the disappointment your friend caused or how hard it hit you, the level of your response will be up to you. Jesus showed he still trusted not only Peter but the other apostles. And after this, they never let him down again.
If your relationship with your friend is totally broken, you still did right in not holding the pain inside of you and forgiving the person of the pain. You know you did your best and you can look at how to have a good relationship with your other friends.

The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant
Mathew 18:21Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?"
22Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.
23"Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.

There are plenty of examples of betrayal in Scripture..
One good ex. is where David was betrayed by King Saul after David had served him faithfully and even killed his greatest enemy....
Source(s): Of course Judas betrayed Jesus....you know the story...
