Well I recommend anything by Sue Grafton, Janet Evanovich or Robert Parker for mysteries. With Grafton and Evanovich they're books are in a series so I'd get a paperback of an early one for a test drive to see if you like it. A is for Alibi is Grafton's first mystery with her PI Kinsey Milhone and they are awesome. In Evanovich's One for the Money we meet Stephanie Plum who gets a job as a bounty hunter. But when she goes out on a hunt don't think Dog the Bounty Hunter, think Lucy and Ethel running around.Evanovich adds a lot of humor in her books, there is mystery but when you read about her Grandmother or any of the supporting cast you'll see what I mean. Of course Parker writes Spenser for Hire series, Jesse Stone and Sunny Randell. But I'm partial to Spenser cause of the show. LOL If you're looking for something heavier I like Thomas Harris' Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal and Hannibal Rising. But I gotta warn you not everyone is strong enough to enter the mind of a serial killer like this. So watch it. Enjoy

And The interpretation of murder by Jed Rubenfield is a great book if youre interested in Psychology.
