McCain vs Obama Tax Ideas?

Wouldn't we as americans thing it is better that lower income families receive bigger tax cuts versus the rich (i.e. incomes 250K+, etc)? I believe Obama's tax plan is better than McCain's? Anyone Agree, thoughts?

simply put raising taxes in a time of economic down turn is a disaster of a an economic policy. Baracks original plan was horrible even he has had to back away from it some but the fact remains that he is not talking about any real cuts only increases. We on the lower end of the financial spectrum may not like it but people down here dont create jobs, wealth or pay much taxes. We need the folks that do.

Skippy says people dont really understand how government works. The President really doesnt create tax plans, congress does. So no matter who wins the Presidency, the only tax plan that will make it to the Presidents desk is the Pelosi / Reid tax plan. We all know that both Pelosi and Reid want massive tax increases on everyone. So the question we all should be asking is "Who do you trust to Veto the Pelosi / Reid tax plan....Obama or McCain.

Personally Skippy knows that Obama will sign any bill Pelosi and Reid sends to him. Although Skippy doesnt like McCain that much....Hes not a Conservative. I trust him to Veto any far left bill Pelosi creates.

i believe that if america doesn't choose obama, we are basically saying that we as a whole don't have the belief that their is any hope for change for this country. seriously, the time is now or never. if you're planning on voting for obama, actually do it. if the people who say they like him actually get out there and VOTE FOR HIM, then there is hope. and of course, obama's tax plan is better than mccains! i hate politics and usually don't concern myself with them, but this is something worth CARING about. obama will win. down with republicans :)

I think it depends on whether or not you are rich. It also depends on if you believe the largely debunked theory that taxing higher income people is better for everyone because somehow that extra money "trickles down" into more money for everyone. Mind you, said theory is illogical and not matching history, but some people still believe it.

Obama want to tax you the people to pay for programs for the poor. So really he will tax you to pay for programs you will need after he taxes you. McCain on the other hand makes sure the large corporations are funded and thriving so they can hire more people, so you the people can make more money and you have more money to spend your out spending and stores need more help so they hire more people it is economics people. You hand out free **** and people become lazy and suck the economy dry.

(Yahoo spell checker told me i spelled Obama wrong and suggested osama)

i think most taxes should be done away with all together. let the people keep the money they work so hard to earn. If people want to fund other organizations or plans then let them donate. if people want to support others who have fallen on hard times let them donate. do not force people to pay for others to sit on their hind ends because they are to lazy. America is the land of opportunities, there are plenty of organizations out there to help people that need it. let the hard working American people, rich or poor, keep their money to do with it what they please.

taking from the rich to give to the poor unfortunately wont work. where is the competition in that??

There are flaws in both party's tax ideas, but I do think Obamas ideas make the most sense. I think it's time we get someone in office that is for the average American and not for big business.

I agree. Put more money in the pockets of the people, and it will stimulate the economy.

Remember Bush's stimulus checks? They didn't send checks out to rich people to give the economy a boost, did they? They gave money to the people to spend. I like the "trickle-up" plan better.

Any tax plan that raises taxes on anyone is bad in my view. I live in NYC and 250k is Middle Class! People making that in NYC are by no means rich!

You can't lop off the top of the triange and think it's going to be okay. Who invests the most in the market? I admit, Obama's plan SOUNDS better but look a little deeper. See what he plans on doing to businesses who will then pass their higher taxes on to us in the prices we pay.
