The Footy Show vs. Jason Dunstall, being here in the USA and no Footy Show, What did I miss?

I wouldn't say that it's a big controversy, it's a gag that just went a little far after Gary Lyon and James Brayshaw gave out The Chief's personal details!

Basically Sam Newman portrays Jason Dunstall as a Gorilla and calls him The Chief, and it's been going on for a while now. I don't think Dunstall had a problem with it until they gave out the details though.

Everything seems to be resolved now, and while they will still probably crack jokes, I think they'll tone it down a little!

I am unaware of any 'real fight' or 'kiss and makeup'!

The whole 'Chief Dunstall' thing on the show has been done to death... it's Sam Newmans attempt to keep people interested in a show that in recent times has been plagued by controvery. Behind it all, they are really good mates and the golf club that Sam gave details out for is for members only, so it was pretty harmless information. People could just as easily camp outside of Foxtel or the radio station where Dunstall works!

People need to start seeing Sam for what he really is; a dottery old man! It makes me wonder how people could ever question Lou Richards place on television when he has got a lot more sheep in his top paddock than Sam Newman does!

The footy show discusses Jason Dunstal to be the Chief, and last week on the footy show they had a competition called ' the great chief chase' where you had to get a photo with jason dunstal, and Gary Lyon & James Brayshaw gave out all of his details of where he would be so people could get pictures with him. Dunstal didnt like this.

The Footy Show idiots were at Jason Dunstall again. They have five double passes to their grand final show for anyone who could take their photo with Jason Dunstall. They disclosed personal information on Jason, and at 7am the next morning Jason Dunstall had people knocking at his front door asking to have photos taken.

Not only did the Footy Show boys apologise on last nights show, but they also commentate football with Dunstall on Triple M on Friday nights. Last week, the day after, Dunstall decided not to join them and the boys apologised profusely on air before the game.

This just exacerbates a bigger problem, that being Dunstalls disassociation with a show that's dying a slow death, but the rest of the cast trying to drag him down with the ship. He's gone, Footy Show, he left many years ago and became just as successful - get over it!!
