You should learn japanese language because most of the japanese people don't know english and can't talk or understand english..

Basically there are 3 scripts Hiragana, Kathakana, and Kanji.

    Hiragana for japanese words..

    Kathakana for foreign words..

and Kanji is a symbol representation.

Like for Sun, Mobile, TV...they have there symbol.

inorder to access to japanese universities i think one should know about 400 + kanji's...

Note: Learning Japanese is quite different from speaking and reading japanese....

if u want to read japanese...u should now all the three scripts....

Because i'm learning japanese for the past 2 months...

  • well, there are many ways of doing it.

one way is to start at a college that is known for it's study-abroad programs. it would probably help a lot if you took a Japanese class. in fact they may require it.

    or

you can get a job teaching conversational English in japan. you don't need to know any Japanese ( they actually prefer you don't know it). they will set you up with a place to live and some spending money. I suppose you could go to school part time while you were doing that.

    hope that helps

Hi,myself is japanese/chinese,i spent my childhood in japan,it's a beautiful country and a very different culture from USA, but most people there are polite and friendly.

but i think you'd better take some japanese classes before you go there, it's not very hard language to learn to speak, but you won't able to read or write for quite a while.

to apply is easy, just go online find the courses in university which you interested, contact the college or university and wait for the reply

I have to tell you. We had a Japanese student in our house and she lasted for 10 days. The culture is so extremely different. No one speaks your language. They speak formal English, not speaking English. Just like you would speak Formal Japanese, not cultural Japanese. I would avoid going to an Asian country unless it was for tourism. Then it's a little different. My Japanese friends have told me that college exchange students that go to Japan/US suffer terribly as because of this. Think about this. You not only have to learn a new language, you have to learn a new writing because they don't use English Letters. They use a variation of Chinese/Japanese Symbols.

You need to go to London for a year, or Sydney Australia. You have no language barrier, and little culture barrier, yet you will have a world class experience.
