Deaf Puppy and spaying?
Ok..this is gonna sound weird..but...first experience with a deaf puppy and all is fine, but...she's deaf and barks high pitched. I had her spayed last week, and she doesn't bark high pitched any more, it's more of a boof...Is this a hormone thing?? LOL....I'm not sure, I'm kind of glad if it is, because the high pitched bark can drive you nuts sometimes. She learning sign language and all, just not sure why she's not barking like she used to. Any ideas, suggestions? Is it possible to have this happen now that she's spayed? Thanks!

I do know that anesthesia can have some funny effects on the vocal chords, so it may not be hormonal (or permanent)! The tube they use to aid the dog in breathing during surgery can also irritate the vocal chords, resulting in something like that as well. My Boston Terrier had a deeper 'voice' after each of her knee surgeries, but it wore off in a week or so.

Ive in no way heard they get positioned to sleep. regrettably, nonetheless, many do finally end up in shelters using fact human beings dont comprehend the thank you to coach them. And it isnt constrained to dalmatians, nonetheless they are services to deafness. Australian shepherds and spitzes are services to it too, yet any canine could be born deaf. I surely have a chum it relatively is deaf herself it relatively is a canine coach and he or she has a small rescue wherein she gets deaf canine from the close by shelters and trains them, then nicely-knownshows residences for them. To A Later Poster: Many are spayed or neutered using thought that deaf canine create extra deaf canine, which sometimes is real and a few circumstances isnt, whether that's generally so which you dont breed the canine and to make specific the canine is a puppy. Breeders could desire to continuously be out to extra helpful the breed, so measures could desire to be taken to no longer bypass on genetic defects.

Probably has more to do with maturity. Possibly she's getting her "adult voice".
Or, if she was barking a lot in her kennel at the vets she may have temporarily gone hoarse.
