Did you see Jeff Gordon's qualifying lap?
I did and am very excited. So considering he is starting first, do you think he can win the race?

He put up a good lap and got the pole but barely over Mark Martin. I'm not sure how good the car is in race trim and wont know until tomorrows practices are complete. What I do know is that the Roush Cars especially the 16 17 and 99 ran race runs and were really good. The Roush Cars will be a heavy favorite to win on Sunday. Hopefully the 24 can have a good run but this year the team is unpredicatable. One week they'll be fast and the next week they'll be out to lunch. I'm sure Jeff will be a happy with a top five finish.

No I missed it.
I have my doubts about him winning the race. He has had such a hard time to stay up front. He needs a win that is for sure. If he cant get a win hopefully a top 5. Cause he really needs to stay as close as he can and not lose any more points. It is a very stiff competition right now.

Quickest in practice 1 and quickest in Quals. Should be pretty strong come Sunday.
But he's had strong practices/quals all year and nothing to show for it come Monday morning...we'll see how it all plays out.
7 Chasers in the Top 11...should be interesting.

Think back to last year: how he won the pre-season and lost the chase... maybe... a.. different story this time around...

I think he can. But if he wins I hope Jimmie is right behind him in second.

Going winless this year has been tough.

The track changes during the race and he and Jr. aren't able to keep up with it this year. Here's hoping he wrecks!
