Hai Maria, I'm glad there is someone to study abroad in JAPAN & that to Medicine.I'm a Bachelor of Software student so i can't guide you regarding the Medicine studies there but can say that Learning Japanese language 1st here(your home country) is better then going & learning in Japan country b'cos there are many institutes all over India offering to learn Japanese language. And most of the japanese don't no English or anyother language but only in their native language. So, after going to Japan you've to anyway communicate with people to get accomodation, information about institute etc; and other struff. As you're in still 11th Grade you have much time to learn Japanese language in India only(Your Native Country) as learning Gud japanese needs morethen 9 months or Basic of Japanese Language needs only 3 months.I want to give the best website please refer it once,
Source(s): Well i think doing a job in Japan is better then studying there as japan people need people who can speak Fluent English as well Japanese language. And you can learn Japanese through internet but you just need patience for that.. http://www.learn-japanese-kanji-hiragana-katakana.... - 5 years ago
well, there are many ways of doing it. one way is to start at a college that is known for it's study-abroad programs. it would probably help a lot if you took a Japanese class. in fact they may require it. or you can get a job teaching conversational English in japan. you don't need to know any Japanese ( they actually prefer you don't know it). they will set you up with a place to live and some spending money. I suppose you could go to school part time while you were doing that. hope that helps

To go to Japan you need a visa. You can stay there for up to 3 months without a visa, but if you try to stay any longer you'll be deported once you're found out. (Police can be pretty active when it comes to visas and legal citizenship.)
To get a student visa you need a school that will accept you and no school will accept someone without any Japanese experience beforehand. To get into a Japanese university from Japan you would have to take the entrance exams just like every other student and unless you're fluent in Japanese you're not going to pass them. Students are generally not supposed to work.
To get a work visa you need a bachelor's degree already as well as a job that will sponsor you, neither of which you'll get fresh from high school.
If you want to study abroad in Japan go to school in your country (America, I assume?) and take Japanese classes there, then do a study abroad for a year at a Japanese university.

i wanted to study in japan too, but i have to stay home for the first 4 years of college at home and then leave (family rule)
okay, i hope your grades are really good, cuz college in japan is competitive. the college you go to defines your career. the best med school would most likely be tokyo university but you have to take an entrance exam and all that nonsense. therefore you need to know alot of japanese! good at math and science? good, cuz that is a big thing in asia.
here is a site that helps you as an international student going to tokyo university for housing:
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&...
there is other stuff but check it out. i hope this helps...
if you google 'tokyo university' the first link should be its website, though go to the google translated part. there are some stuff that you won't understand cuz google can't translate everything, but check it out and try to call them or email them if you can if you have any questions.

First thing you'll need to do is go to the Japanese embassy in your city and find out how to obtain a visa. There are student and working ones (as well as many others), so you should go talk to them and figure out which would be the best one for you.

Better you can write TOFEL exams for going to japan and try to get good score and apply for the Japan colleges. if your score is very good in the TOFEL then you will get scholarship also. After getting your score, then you can start applying for different university for continue your higher studies. apply more college and try to finish this process fast. that means before April or March... then you can have correct time to applying for college.. do well... take care.. bey
