science project?? caffeine and fish?
so im thinking of doing a project on how caffeine affects goldfish but i need a little more information about the project. i'm looking for supplies, maybe some of the steps on how to do it, and if you can, just give me a link or something. thanks a lot

supplies: goldfish (should already have), caffeine pills, some way to measure the effects of caffeine.
Ways to measure effects could be how much more active they are, how much more they eat, crap, if they attack each other, or if they dope out.
Or die.
Have various tanks set up to test this, with varying conditions (eg diff amounts of caffeine, more food, more fish, less fish, less food, etc) and also have a control, where there is not caffeine. You should have a control for every different condition tested with the caffeine (eg more food in caffeine tank, means you need more food in the control tank with no caffeine).
Also, you need a means of delivering the caffeine. May I suggest dissolving it in warm water, allowing it to cool, then add it to the tanks? Or adding it as powder for them to eat, mix it with their food, etc.

Take s look at this web site, with a paper on the effect of caffeine on fish and tadpoles. You can get lots of hints from it!

Unless you have a way to introduce minute amounts of caffiene, you will kill them. I expect that one microgram of cafiene will kill a goldfish.
