I got a speeding ticket?

Depends on what kind of car you drive, what you look like, how old you look, and whether the cop is having a bad day. The other drivers may be more observant than you or may have radar detectors. Though if you weren't speeding in the first place you wouldn't have a problem. There are speed limits for a reason.

How do u know they were going faster than you? Is your speedo calibrated to test this?

Perhaps as u were pulling over for the police, they overtook u then. I'm sure that if u were doing 20 over, and there was someone else doing say, 30 over, they'd be goin for the higher one. That's what Highway Patrol do.

In all thruthfulness, perhaps u are not prone to tickets, just dumb enough to keep breaking the law.

If u get pulled over by the cops and they give u a ticket rather than a warning, it'd be because u have a crap traffic history.

I was once told by a cop friend of mine that pulling over 1 person out of a group of 20 usually makes that one person very mad. So when that 1 person inevitably asks why him, my buddy would ask him if he had ever been fishing? Because you can't catch all the fish, just 1 at a time.

At 20 mph over the speed limit what did you expect? Your lucky he didn't impound your car because in many states anything higher then 19mph over is considered wreckless driving without due regard and could have resulted in 24hrs in jail.

Your probably prone because you pay less attention on the freeway. Open road, less curves, louder music, so on and so forth.

Here's a tip, leave your house 10 minutes earlier and slow down before you kill yourself or someone else.

Helicopters patrol a lot of highways and radio Highway Patrol when people are speeding making speeders easier to catch. Maybe you are more aware of your speed when you are in town because of traffic signals, stop signs, school zones, and people in front of you slowing down to turn.

I think you should drive faster. Going 20 over is too slow and thats why they are attracted to you. TO the idiots telling you to slow down, EFFFF them. Those people annoy me. I tailgate them and scare the heck out of them when they see me. Its like, 'get out of my way you little scared girl. oooh fast cars and oooh speed. sooo scaaaary. waaah waaah i want my speed mommy. sloow down. waaa. speed so scawwy. waa waa"

Go faster and you wont get pulled over.
