Where can I find the story by Aristotle about soul mates?
There is a story, which I was under the impression, was written by Aristotle. It's a story about how in the beginning of time, men and women were as one and that the gods were so jealous of humans' happiness that they split them apart at the navel and spread them out and made it so that human's had to search out their "tear apart" or "soul mate" Where can I find this? Does it have a title?

Plato, Aristotle, Aristophanes... same thing? :P

You might've heard it from the movie 'Only You' (1994) like I did, but I can't find the right quote (about "destino", or destiny - wandering the earth, going about your daily life and being drawn to them anyway).

My sister and her boyfriend wanted to go out and they asked me if I could take them to this bar they knew of, and when we arrived they wanted me to go in with them for a little while. I wasn't comfortable going there to even drop them off much less so I called my friend Anthony to see if he wanted to meet me there. He said alright, and so he called a few buddies to come along as well." I waited on them inside the bar at a table with my sister and her boyfriend. About 30 minutes later my friend Anthony arrived with his friends. He had got his friend James to pick him up and bring him to meet us. James didn't want to go neither but Anthony insisted. When I first laid eyes on James, I knew he was my soul mate. James seen me and was very attracted to me as well. I would catch him starring at me and when I would look his way, he would act like he wasn't looking at me. He'd look at something else. It was too cute. I told myself that this is the man I would have children with before meeting him. -I knew I had found my baby's daddy. (It was intuition, I guess) A month in a half later, he proposed and we got married. That was pretty quick ,huh? -We both knew we were meant for eachother and wanted to be with one another for the rest of our lives. Now we have a baby boy who is 2. The love and attraction is still very strong. He and I have hurdled many trials throughout our relationship but none of this couldn't have been possible without God in our lives. Because of the Lord we are blessed with good communication, love, respect, and understanding for one another. We hope you find the same! -God Bless!!!
