How to interpret this statistical T Test?
I'm taking a graduate level statistics class and I've having a hard time figuring out if there is a significant difference, using this t test. My null hypothesis was that there was no significant difference between the variables. My t stat was -3.52 and my critical value is 2. (All this figured in excel) Does this mean, since my t state was less than my critical value, that there was no significant difference? I'm confused. HELP!
2 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoCan I fade this hair color?
I have dark hair and my stylist foiled my hair and lightened it for me. Her technique was great, I just chose a color that was a little too light. I realize that there is nothing that can be done when bleach has been involved except dying over. However, she told me she was using a special color that was actually a dye with peroxide. I figure there's nothing I can do to help myself because I went lighter, rather than darker, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. Any suggestions is appreciated!
Oh, and I know I can just go back to her, but I honestly just want to try something myself first, so she doesn't think it's because she did a bad job or something.

2 AnswersPhilosophy1 decade agoWhat are some songs with the word "December" in it?
I'm working on a little project and I wanted to incorporate some quotes into it. Specifically quotes or song lyrics that contain the word "December" in it. So far, all I can think of is "Long December" by Counting Crows. I googled quotes, but so far have only found some historic quotes and I'm looking for more contemporary. Help!
11 AnswersLyrics1 decade agoHas anyone have a recipe for mini sausage quiche?
I had this a few years ago, but I cannot remember the recipe or seem to find it on the internet. I can remember vaguely some of the parts of it. Flaky biscuits pulled apart and pressed into mini muffin tins. The filling is sausage with cheese, italian seasoning and I think cream of mushroom soup....does anyone have any recipe similar to this?

4 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoWhere can I find the story by Aristotle about soul mates?
There is a story, which I was under the impression, was written by Aristotle. It's a story about how in the beginning of time, men and women were as one and that the gods were so jealous of humans' happiness that they split them apart at the navel and spread them out and made it so that human's had to search out their "tear apart" or "soul mate" Where can I find this? Does it have a title?

9 AnswersPrimary & Secondary Education1 decade agoHelp with Clomid and uterine lining?
My question is: Can your period be an indicator of how thick your uterine lining is? I have done about 5 rounds of clomid and it seems like my periods are getting lighter and lighter. Plus...and I know this is way tmi....the last couple have been mostly brown. It just kinda struck me funny and I thought, "What if my lining this thinning, causing the light, old looking menstruation?"
Oh and I should probably add that I'm not seeing an RE yet. I know I should but my insurance doesn't cover it, so right now I'm just getting help through my gyno.
Thanks In Advance!
4 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoHow much does infertility testing cost?
My husband and I have been ttc for 9 months. That isn't nearly as long as some people have to try, but for 9 months I have not been ovulating correctly. Even 150mg of Clomid did not make me O right. I'm thinking about having the infertility testing done, but of course, my insurance does not cover it. I'm from Arkansas and I realize it is probably not as expensive here as some places, but I wondering how much the approximate cost of infertility testing is.
5 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoWhat is a cheap christmas gift for lots of friends?
I have some friends to buy a little something for, for Christmas. Well, 23 to be exact. Okay, before anyones goes off on me about spending money on so many friends, these friends are part of a group I belong to; a group of women who are having a hard time conceiving children or are having difficult pregnancies, so I thought each of them needed a little Christmas cheer. Anyway, I want to get each of them a little something that isn't expensive, but still says "I thought of you". Know what I mean?
I was thinking a coffee cup from the dollar shop with some homemade hot cocoa. Or maybe a treat sack with various baked goods in it. Anyone have any ideas?
14 AnswersChristmas1 decade agoGot any ideas for my husband's birthday?
My husband's birthday is tomorrow and he will be turning 36. He didn't want a huge party or anything. It's really just another day to him, but I wanted to do a little something for him, but I really can't think of anything I was going to get up early and make him breakfast in bed, plus I bought him a really nice watch, so I don't want to spend too much money. I thought about a picnic or a themed movie night, but I don't know.....what do you think? BTW, we don't have kids, so I can't use them to create him something special!

17 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoHow do I remove wallpaper border and not the underlying wallpaper?
When my husband and I got married last summer, I wanted to do a couple of things to his house to fix it up a little without spending tons of money. Well, one thing is the border in the kitchen. I like the wallpaper in the kitchen, but I don't like the border at the top. Is there any way to remove the border, yet leave the wallpaper? I've seen wallpaper glue remover at Lowe's but I'm afraid this will remove the border AND the wallpaper I want to leave up. HELP!

3 AnswersGolf1 decade agoShould I be worried about my lumpy breast?
I am a white, 25 year old female. I am in relatively good health, except for being overweight with slightly high blood pressure. I go to the gyno every year and every year he tells me I"m in good shape! However, this last year he found some lumps in my right breast. I have no family history at all of breast cancer, so he said we would check them again in about 3 months because he felt like they were just benine breast lumps, that a lot of women had them, and they were probably caused by my excessive caffine intake. He checked them again in 3 months and they had shrunk. The original finding happened last November and he checked them again in February. Since then I have checked my breasts often and have noticed another lump in the same area that is quite noticeable. I figured it was just the same thing, but it is really worrying me! I also felt something on the same breast on the side that I thought might be a lymph node. Should I get a 2nd opinion or trust my dr.?
11 AnswersCancer1 decade agoHow did the birth control Lunelle effect your fertility?
I have been off the birth control shot Lunelle since May 10th because I want to get pregnant. (I had been on it four about 4 years.) However, I still haven't gotten my fertility back yet. I say this because I still haven't gotten a period and I'm not pregnant. I know it's only been 2 months and I'm not really that worried yet, but I was just wondering if anyone out there has been on Lunelle and how long it took them to get their fertility back....Also, did you have any side effects from getting off Lunelle? Thanks, guys!

I've been in this "self realization" state of mind the last few weeks where I keep wondering when I'm going to figure things out. I'm just wondering what are some things out there that have happened to different people that just changed their life for the better or made them open their eyes to a whole new world....besides marriage and childbirth.
