How much does infertility testing cost?

not for sure about the testing itself (ours was pretty simple to figure out)...out here in CA I know the fertility clinic we used for IVF is about $12K per IVF cycle, $1900 per frozen transfer, and $3K per IUI cycle...I know it sounds expensive...military wouldn't pay for any of this with us, but I go in for my 7 week ultrasound on Monday after trying one IVF cycle so to me it is all worth it...and have 4 embies that are frozen right now if we want more kids later...

I can't remember, but it certainly added up. I think the HSG was about $500-700, the sperm analysis was about $150, the bloodwork panel for hormones was around $300 for the things they were looking for. But I'm not sure you will need any of these if ovulation seems to be your issue. Usually these tests are used to define the problem, and if you didn't O on clomid, I'd say that's the issue.

Personally, I'd skip the tests for now and use the money to do an IUI with injectable medications (like Gonal-F) to see if stronger meds can jumpstart your ovaries.

I've been researching this myself. I have found that several IVF clinics offer "shared-risk" plans. That means that you have 3-4 tries using IVF. If it doesn't result in full term pregnancy, then you get like 50% of your money back. I would definitely do some research on the internet on the fertility clinics that are in your area. From what I've seen it is running anywhere from 12-20K (i'm in Chicago). Good luck!

I have researched it in Nebraska, and it runs about the same as the prices bama had for California.
