So far, there are the three main types of golf bags that I have found. What's the dang difference?

Staff bags are the HUGE bags that the pro's caddies carry around for them. They have all of their rain gear and misc. junk in there that the pro might need for a round.
Cart bags are larger bags that you usually wouldn't want to carry around if you were walking the course...hence the name. Most of the time the opening where you put the clubs will be about 8" in diameter on a cart bag.
Stand bags are smaller, lighter weight bags that have legs on them that fold out when you set the bag down. These are ideal if you like to walk the course. This is probably the most popular type of bag.
Hope that helps.

Well, this is one thing about which I know absolutely nothing. However, Baracus seemed to have a very good answer. Sounds kinda like a 'best answer' to me. Golf has always seemed like a crazy game to me....chasing a little ball around over miles and miles of country, getting hot and sweaty, just to be able to say you hit it into a hole in less strokes than one of your friends. Of course, Tiger Woods has sure had fun doing it! If I could make the millions he has, I'd find it interesting too! lol.

Stand golf bags are light golf bags that are for carrying around. These are for amateur golfers with a small set of clubs
cart bags are for putting on carts, duh! they are heavier and larger. not recommended carrying for 18 holes . Tried last week its impossible!
Staff bags are for pros and are carried around by caddies. They are ginormous and weigh a tonne!! They are usually leather aswell.
Hope this is alright!
