How do I remove wallpaper border and not the underlying wallpaper?
When my husband and I got married last summer, I wanted to do a couple of things to his house to fix it up a little without spending tons of money. Well, one thing is the border in the kitchen. I like the wallpaper in the kitchen, but I don't like the border at the top. Is there any way to remove the border, yet leave the wallpaper? I've seen wallpaper glue remover at Lowe's but I'm afraid this will remove the border AND the wallpaper I want to leave up. HELP!

i am by no means an expert, but I really don't think that this can be done, you may think about putting a new boarderover the old one? good luck

Hey, I would try to either steam it loose, or apply a hot sponge to it til the glue comes loose. Not sure it will work, in theory it sounds like it would, but.... Have you tried calling one of the wallpaper stores around you to find out what they suggest? You may have to settle for putting up a new border in case it messes up the underlying paper that you do like. Good luck!
