Can I fade this hair color?

I have dark hair and my stylist foiled my hair and lightened it for me. Her technique was great, I just chose a color that was a little too light. I realize that there is nothing that can be done when bleach has been involved except dying over. However, she told me she was using a special color that was actually a dye with peroxide. I figure there's nothing I can do to help myself because I went lighter, rather than darker, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. Any suggestions is appreciated!

Oh, and I know I can just go back to her, but I honestly just want to try something myself first, so she doesn't think it's because she did a bad job or something.

Update:

What I'm really asking is there anyway to fade this color even though it was put on with peroxide? I know that's silly since technically you're removing color, but I thought I would at least ask.

I know you feel bad, but you did pay money. You need to go back to her. Since your hair was bleached, it's very porous. That means that your hair will soak up color too well. Any color that you buy is going to turn out way darker than the color on the box probably. Then you will be just left with dark hair (which isn't bad), but it will be like you never spent any money on highlights at all.
