Help with Clomid and uterine lining?
My question is: Can your period be an indicator of how thick your uterine lining is? I have done about 5 rounds of clomid and it seems like my periods are getting lighter and lighter. Plus...and I know this is way tmi....the last couple have been mostly brown. It just kinda struck me funny and I thought, "What if my lining this thinning, causing the light, old looking menstruation?"
Oh and I should probably add that I'm not seeing an RE yet. I know I should but my insurance doesn't cover it, so right now I'm just getting help through my gyno.
Thanks In Advance!

You need to speak with your OB/Gyn and probably will need a transvaginal ultrasound. One of the side effects of Clomid can be reducing the thickness of your uterine lining and it sounds like this is happening to you. Have you noticed less fertile cervical mucus as well? The problem is Clomid is an anti-estrogen and estrogen helps produce fertile CM and primes the uterus for the progesterone released by the corpus luteum (remains of the follicle from which the egg was released). If it thins the lining or blights your CM too much, it can actually prevent pregnancy. Only your doctor can run and interpret the tests that will determine this. They can add other medications (like Metaformin) that may help or switch you to gonadotropins.

Yes Clomid can and does affect your lining. You've done 5 months worth of Clomid so yes that is most likely effecting the lining.
Ultrasound monitoring is a good idea while on Clomid. Take a break from it. Also try using prescribed progesterone to build up the lining after you ovulate.

Your OB should still be able to assist you in the process. Clomid can make your lining thinner. My RE put me on one baby aspirin a day to help thicken it up more. Maybe talk to your OB and see what he/she says about it and do research online as well.
Good luck! :)

each and every time I did IVF cycles to be a surrogate they positioned me on the 81mg of Aspirin (on a regular basis) besides as beginning prenatal supplementations mutually as TTC. i grew to become into stored on it till we knew for specific no count number if i grew to become into preggo or no longer. My 1st cycles i did no longer take the aspirin and it took longer for my lining to thicken...something of the cycles on it I thickened speedier and extra.
