What is the teacher/student relationship in the realist classroom?

I'm writing a paper between the differences between idealism and realism. The only thing I cannot decide is the dynamics between teacher and student in the realist's classroom. Any info or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

In the idealist world teachers would have one on one imput into each student's progress and would tailor learning to fit each student's needs.

In reality, there just isn't time. Teachers teach to the middle level student while trying to pass the low level (Dont' care) students and keep the high level (Care immensely) from getting too bored.

A student and a teacher should have an educational relationship,

and not a sexual relationship, as some are now.

But the best ship of all is "friendship." <}:-})
