    it means,if it is your name.when someone calls it.they should respond.or it is connected to relatives or good friends.and they want to keep the name alive.its origin,i dont know.sorry.

    Well, I'm afraid that it's not a name that really has a meaning.

    However, if you break it down into "Courtney" and "Lynn"...

    Court is "short" and "llyn" is "lake", so "short lake."

    However, it could also be a respelling of CAITLÍN (which is really pronounced "CAWT-leen"), which would make it a variation of Katherine ("pure").
