Aeronautical / Aerospace?

I want to become a pilot and to join in IAF. For that, i have to do degree on either aerospace or aeronautical. I knew the difference between them, but don't know what course will be useful to become a pilot.

Also, can you recommend the good universities/ colleges?

Hay man, well to be a pilot in the IAF u have two options

1)NDA-national defence academy u can join just after ur 12th std remember u need maths and physics to join airforce brane in nda

2)CDSE-COIMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE EXAM THIS exam u can write after u grads or in ur final year of ur grads

To join the IAF IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO HAVE A DEGREE in aeronautical engg or aerospacee, the basic eligibility is +2 maths and physics FOR NDA and for CDSE a science degree .But if u are passionate of aviation the go do a degree in aeronautics the apply for CDSE DURING FINAL YEAR,by doing this u have a degree to fall back on in case.......i think 23 YEARS is cut off for the airforce

IIT offer i think an aeronautical engg degree,Anna university in chennai is a pioneer in aeronautical engg ,Madras Institute of technology ,Indian institute of sapce sciene Trivandrum are some of the good colleges

anyways c whats good for u

till then ....blue skys and tail wind
