Why do people ask for your opinion e.g "do you like so and so"?

Then say " i do " so if you tell them frankly no! your going to get thumbs down and nil points

    Because they aren't looking for an opinion, they are looking for affirmation of their own opinion.

    At least half the questions on YA are people making statements that they want people to affirm.

    You still get two points though anyway.
