Anyone know how to set the wireless encryption on a ZOOM X6 ADSL modem?

    Zoom is similar to most other routers. There is a web interface its at

    http://10.0.0.2/ unless you changed it. Using a WIRED computer, Open that in the address bar of your internet browser. The username is admin the password is zoomadsl (unless you changed it) all lower case.

    Go to the wireless settings page (there is a little wireless ICON to get you there.)

    On that page, go to the encryption (which should say none) and change it to WPA or WPA2 (check you cards to see if they support WPA2 if so use that.) Then enter a password - use a good one with a mix of upper and lower case and with numbers. Write it down.

    Then go to a wireless device, click on View Wireless networks and connect, use the same password when asked for security.

    Your done. You can also read the chapter 3 in the users manual, its on the setup CD or you can get it from Zooms website

    open your web browser and type this into your address bar -
