It is her policies and lies that bother me. Here are some examples:
In her RNC speech she copied Obama and talked about change. But she seems much like Bush, so far.
She said she had said no to the Bridge to Nowhere:
"I told the Congress "thanks, but no thanks," for that Bridge to Nowhere.
If our state wanted a bridge, we'd build it ourselves."
But this article from the Boston Herald tells a different story:
"Palin for ‘Bridge to Nowhere’ before she was against it
ANCHORAGE, Alaska
The Alaska governor campaigned in 2006 on a build-the-bridge platform, telling Ketchikan residents she felt their pain when politicians called them "nowhere." They’re still feeling pain today in Ketchikan, over Palin’s subsequent decision to use the bridge funds for other projects - and over the timing of her announcement, which they say came in a pre-dawn press release that seemed aimed at national news deadlines.
Meanwhile, Weinstein noted, the state is continuing to build a road on Gravina Island to an empty beach where the bridge would have gone - because federal money for the access road, unlike the bridge money, would have otherwise been returned to the federal government.
Her speech was written by former Bush speech writer, Matthew Scully.
"Palin has called on people to pray for the cooperation necessary to build a natural gas pipeline across Alaska, labeled the U.S. mission in Iraq a "task that is from God" and argued that students should be taught the creation account from Genesis in public schools."
"But really, all of that stuff doesn't do any good if the people of Alaska's heart isn't right with God."
"Many of Palin's beliefs mirror those of evangelical Christians. But Pentecostals occupy a distinct subset of evangelical Christianity. They believe they can be "baptized in the Holy Spirit" just as Jesus Christ's apostles were in the New Testament's Book of Acts. Gifts of the spirit include speaking in tongues, prophesy and faith healing.
The churches she has attended also embrace dispensation, a theological system that emphasizes man's dominion over the earth and the end times—theology that could potentially shape a believer's environmental and foreign policies.
"When she talks about using up our non-renewable resources, drilling on the North Slope and building the pipeline, it's almost with glee because in a sense it doesn't matter," said Nancy Hardesty, a professor of religion at Clemson University in South Carolina. "All her brand of Christians may be gone before those things run out. It tends to lessen a long-term view."
Rev. Tim McGraw, Palin's pastor when she became mayor of Wasilla, said believers look to Israel for signs of the coming end times and where they are in God's plan. That would undoubtedly influence Palin's approach to foreign policy, McGraw said."
"Palin, a member of the anti-choice group Feminists for Life, said during her campaign for governor that she is opposed to abortion, even in cases of rape or incest. [Juneau Empire, "Abortion Draws Clear Divide in State Races," accessed 8/29/08 and Anchorage Daily News, "Governor’s Race: Top contenders meet one last time to debate," 11/03/06.]
NARAL Pro-Choice America, which tracks all choice-related votes in Congress and ranks all 50 states on the status of women’s reproductive rights, classifies Sarah Palin as anti-choice."
Statement of NOW PAC Chair Kim Gandy on the Selection of Sarah Palin as John McCain's Vice Presidential Pick
Sen. John McCain's choice of Alaska governor Sarah Palin as his running mate is a cynical effort to appeal to disappointed Hillary Clinton voters and get them to vote, ultimately, against their own self-interest.
Gov. Palin may be the second woman vice-presidential candidate on a major party ticket, but she is not the right woman. Sadly, she is a woman who opposes women's rights, just like John McCain.
The fact that Palin is a mother of five who has a 4-month-old baby, a woman who is juggling work and family responsibilities, will speak to many women. But will Palin speak FOR women? Based on her record and her stated positions, the answer is clearly No.
In a gubernatorial debate, Palin stated emphatically that her opposition to abortion was so great, so total, that even if her teenage daughter was impregnated by a rapist, she would "choose life" -- meaning apparently that she would not permit her daughter to have an abortion.
Palin also had to withdraw her appointment of a top public safety commissioner who had been reprimanded for sexual harassment, although Palin had been warned about his background through letters by the sexual harassment complainant.
Her visiting pastor who evidently prayed her into governorship, is a witch hunter, literally.
Sen. Joe Biden is the VP candidate who appeals to women, with his authorship and championing of landmark domestic violence legislation, support for pay equity, and advocacy for women around the world."

i dislike her methods and policies, but ... and i'm not a feminist or anything, but ... does anyone notice that like every single woman in politics has some major issue? first people thought condoleeza rice was a *****. then with hillary, people had this unexplainable *loathing* for her. beyond hatred. now here comes sarah palin, who was getting bombed by the public since day one. not to say she doesn't somewhat deserve it.
i try to picture a women that people would approve of. she couldn't be hot, no way. but at the same time she couldn't be too ugly, otherwise she wouldn't represent american beauty or whatever. if she doesn't approve of war, boo, typical woman, afraid to get her hands dirty. meanwhile, if she's too firm on issues, she's a *****. and if she smiles it's a facade! i just don't see it ever happening.
in the scheme of things, it wouldn't be so bad if we never have a women president, but people need to chill out.

It feels like the devil tempting you.
The smile seems like the smile of a nice person...like a friendly caring person....it seems geniune....
which is exactly the problem...you know that its only a facade based on everything else we know about what she stands for and how she operates.
which I guess does make it uber creepy that a slimy creep could actually have such a smile. Its actually rather disturbing come to think of it.
Like I said...its like the devil tempting those of us who are not strong enough, or intelligent enough, or clear minded or informed enough to base our voting on actually issues of what these people will do once in office. You just know there are some fools out there who will vote for McCain because of Sarah's Smile.

She's real creepy. She almost looks like she isn't from planet Earth. Like the aliens from Men in Black, did you see that? People who looks kinda sorta almost normal, but not quite.....
I say we demand a blood sample to make sure she has homo sapiens DNA.

Her smile does look creepy. She looks kinda fake when she smiles, too. I also agree that she's not ugly, but she's definitely not GORGEOUS.
