Complementary and supplementary angles?

How do you find the complement and supplement of an angle? My teacher tried explaining but I was extremely confused. For instance, if you were looking for the supplement and complement of 2pi/5 what steps would you use to help you find the complement and supplement? Please explain thorougly since this concept is extremely hard for me to understand.

Update:

I don't know how to solve that.

    Complementary angles are angles that sum to 90º

    Supplementary angles are angles that sum to 180º

    You learned about that in Geometry.

    But we are now talking in radians, not degrees.

    NO problem---the radian equivalents of 90 and 180 are easy.

    90º = π/2 radians

    180º = π radians

    So, the complement of 2π/5 is:

    π/2 - 2π/5 = ?

    You can deal with that...

    the supplement will be:

    π - 2π/5 = ?

    Your turn again.
