I have to say the lakers will win it all. For several reasons, 1 they have kobe and although many people say he choked, and that he isnt good, cannot deny the fact that he is one of if not the best players in the nba. 2. There is nice supporting cast surrounding Kobe with players like odom, gasol, fisher, and trevor ariza the lakers can go far. 3. If andrew bynum returns and is a force once again the lakers will have the one thing they lacked last year which was interior toughness.

Other wise choices would be the celtics or the Spurs, And for all you people who say the rockets, When was the last time they won a playoff series? Hmm? and the hornets are just too soft, and dont get me started on the cavs ill admit Lebron is extremely good but he a terrible team no one player in the nba could make that team a championship team.

I dont think the Rockets will win a championship coz Artest is a hot-headed basketball player and the two are always getting injured.

I think the rivalry of Melo and Lebron will continue now that they are on their mid 20s. The Nuggets and the Cavs will contend for the championship. The Lakers will still be great if they will have a good point guard and put Bynum, Gasol and Odom on their starting lineups. Boston will suck in 09-10 season but still the best in 08-09.

Man lets just focus on this season and it hasnt even started yet. But if I had to predict Id say the Heat. Theyll probably trade up Marion to free up cap space and sign the free agent from Utah carlos boozer. With a second year Beasley in that mix along with Da-wane Wade that could be some serious trouble. I thought Artest was a free agent after this season so I dont know if Houston will have him next year. The Lakers will probably be a threat and so will the hornets. That will be a big rivalry in the next coming years.

As much as I want my Hornets in the Finals, I have the Lakers beating the Hornets in the Semis, then beating Houston in 7 in the WCF.

Also, I am going out on a very thin limb here saying Philly will be in the Finals.

However, The Lakers will do to Philly what Boston did to L.A. Last year.

Rockets- the rockets should be good, now that they have ron artest, a very good defender, but t-mac's getting old and injured, he might not be as good as he's been in da past. but after winning 22 in a row w/ out yao, they'll be very good with him back.

Hornets-they should be very good with chris paul being another year older. if they play how they did last year, but with CP having another year of experience, they'll be really good.

blazers-after doing how they did without greg oden they shoueld be pretty good.

mavericks- they have a very good team with alot of good players. they got jason kidd, an old but very good PG, they got jason terry, a pretty good player, and they got dirk, a very good player and former MVP. they also have alot of other talent.

Lakers-i don't think they'll be as good as they were last year. kobe's getting old and probably won't have another MVP season again. pau gasol is also kinda old.

spurs- spurs always have been good for the past like 8 years, but i think they're getting old. they need some young guys.

suns-the suns should be good. amare is amazing, nash was amazing but is seriously old as has a lot of young guards to compete with. also now that they traded shawn marion away and shaq is not very good, they won't be quite like they were.

EAST

celtics- they don't have james posey and every one is a year older, like pierce, KG, and ray, but they should still play pretty well. Rondo is another year older too and it looks like he'll develop into a very good player. they also got darius miles. if he's healthy, he'll do well.

heat-they did terrible last year, but i think they'll do much better this season, especially if d-wade is healthy.they drafted michael beasley who might win rookie of the year, and they got shawn marion, who's a very good player.

cavs-the cavs should get better this year, because lebron is another year older and better. he could make the cavs a very good team.

pistons-they're always pretty good.

...and by da way, did ya mean to say 08-09 season, not 9-10?

The Lakers will be back at the Finals.

It should be the Lakers, then the Rockets. Kobe shall have grown wiser beyond 30.

well i think rockets will make the western conference finals and lose to the lakers... sorry... and the lakers will play the miami heat in the finals with the lakers winning in game 7

i think it will be rockets vs celtics in the finals
