    Washington after George Washington

    Maryland after Queen Mary

    Virginia after Queen Elizabeth the virgin queen

    West Virginia

    Louisiana after King Louis of France

    I can't think of any others.

    Addition:

    Georgia - King George II

    Carolina (North and South) - King Charles I (Carolus)

    He has it pretty well covered. I never heard about Washington state though. Also, 26 states are named after native names.
