Help me understand this paradox?
Republicans say that Obama will 'make government bigger, overtax the people, and spend taxpayer money on programs that are socialist'. Bush wants to bailout wall street to the tune of 700,000,000,000 Billion dollars and this on top of the money spent in Iraq and Afghanistan. It sounds like privatizing profits and socializing losses. What is the deal?
If the government is going to shell out money, at least invest into things that will help America lead the world into the future like New Energy.
This country is in serious need of an upgrade. Doesn't microsoft have some sort of software that handles this problem?

The deal is that fiscal conservatives absolutely hate government involvement in market affairs.
Unfortunately, we've reached a point where we probably no longer have a choice. There are times when the economy is so weak, that temporary socialistic measures are the only thing we can do to stabilize the market to let it recover. The New Deal was a good example of this.

Since McCain has promised to continue the policies of the Bush White House, Obama IS running against them both.
If we are going to spend all that money bailing out the banks we should do it by helping those who are being foreclosed. That way the average American homeowner gets help. The Bush League method spends the money with no benefit whatever to anybody but the incompetent managers who created the situation.

McCain supporters think him and Bush are not alike. McCain only voted with Bush 90% of the time. They're both republicans. And on top of that they sound the same.

this,as of late {the last 20 years} has been the basic flaw in republican theology. the fact is ,trickle down economics does NOT WORK! and the fact is republican recovery programs dont really help all the classes effected by economic slow downs. only the "chosen few". this is not an opinion,its historical fact.

McCain is still a Republican last time I checked, and was for deregulation for years.
