is there any way to get out of an apartment lease?
My fiancee, son and I just moved into an apartment June 1, 2008, and we want out already. We are barely able to pay our bills and haven't even been able to go food shopping in almost 2 months. (The baby always has food, I go to my moms and feed him and I still have some jars of food left) Is there any legal way to get out of a lease? Or any like loopholes in the contract? Thank you!
My fiancee works overnight and I work at night and go to college during the day. My fiancee watches my son while I am at school and my mother watches him when I am at work. We are doing the best we can job wise.

I have heard that DES will sometimes cover your rent one-time only if you are a parent and if they have proof of your employment and other tedious paperwork.
Is subletting allowed? Finding a new renter to take over your lease could relieve you of the possibility of eviction.

It's time for one or both of you to get another job. If your mother can provide food for the child, she can also watch him for a few hours while both of you work.
As far as your lease question is concerned, there is no legal loophole for you to use in terminating your lease. You signed it and you are expected to honor it. If you fail to honor it, you will be sued for lost rents by the landlord, and chances of you getting another apartment in the future will be slim.

No. One of you needs to get a job at night. Otherwise stop paying the rent, get evicted and ruin your chances of ever renting again.

i know of 2 ways. either your job transfers you,or you pay an extra months rent as penalty.
your old enough to have a son-get a 2nd job & handle your responsibilities.if you get evicted it's on your credit report, good luck getting an apt. after that.
