Who will win this fight- Black Mamba vs King Cobra?

First of all, you need to understand a few things:

They are both NOT cobras.

They both ARE elapids.

They both have neurotoxic venom (attacks the nerves rather than the blood).

The Mamba is fast, but the King Cobra is large, very large (up to 18 feet).

The Mamba has short, rear fangs.

The King Cobra has long, front fangs.

Since they both have similar venom, they could not harm each other with it.

Now, this is important:

The Mamba is a "bird eater". But, the King Cobra is a "snake eater".

Therefore, it is obvious, that if the Mamba did not run away in fright, the King Cobra would eat him so quick it would make your head spin. King Cobras do not mess around when it comes to other snakes.

If you were standing in front of both snakes, it is far more important for you to keep your eye on the Mamba "constantly". The King Cobra can only strike as far as the length of his neck as he stands with hood up. But, the Mamba could run at you, and race up your arm so fast you wouldn't even have time to think about it.

I love all these people getting their facts wrong, a King Cobra is practically immune to venom so that wouldn't determine the outcome also remember a k.cobra has enough venom to kill an elephant, 20+people and 150+ rabbit, kcobras get up to 18-20 ft and are pros at killing other snakes and a mamba is averaging 8ft with rare cases being 14, K.cobras may have a higher kill rate if it wasn't for the fact their shy and don't come into contact with people so that doesn't predict nothing because mamba is around people more so of course it's higher. They live in separate locations but I believe there is nothing a b.mamba has that a k.cobra can't handle, maybe a mamba is fast but they still have to get close to strike and a k.cobra has more reach(remember they can look a grown man in the face in some cases when they rise and spread their hood), so if the mamba get close, then it's strength and a k.cobra (SIZE and WIDTH) has that over any mamba hands down!!!!!

I personally feel that Black Mamba will win.Although I belong to the same species of the King Cobras( both of us are cobras), I still feel that the Mamba with its neuro-toxic venom which is 5 times more potent than the King will win.Let me see how many of you will agree with this..and why?

Let's see:

King Cobra: largest venomous snake in the world, can be very fast, has a vast strike range, somewhat immune to other snake venoms, will stand its ground when threatened, low potency, but injects huge amounts, causing death quickly.

Black Mamba: second largest venomous snake in the world, fastest snake of all, has a vast strike range, lacks immunity to other snake venoms, will scare opponents off, high potency, can inject good deal of venom.

The king cobra will win for sure because it has a habit of eating other snakes for lunch, and it far too large and powerful for a black mamba to take on, although the mamba would put up a good fight.

King Cobras eat other snakes. The black mamba is found in Africa and the King Cobra (Hamadryad) which grows up to 20feet long is found in India so they would never normally meet. The King Cobra fights by twining itself around its prey and actually is partially imune to venom. Being so big and strong it would overcome practically any other snake. It might be a slightly different case with a large python or boa but a bite from the cobra would settle the issue.

King cobra because it eats snakes the king is known as the cannibal snake and it is immune snake bites so King Cobra will win every time. i love the black mamba

i am with black mamba wich i have heard a lot about it in national geogarphic channel.and so many experts who catch cobras fear very much for black mambas because they are the deadliest and the most fastest snakes in the world.many experts fear to catch a black mamba than a cobra because when there was a cobra at our school the experts don't fear much. black mamba wins the fight but there are circumstances in which cobra might win.i support black mamba.

I have heard of this black Mamba, which is a terror to african people living near forests..actually the sea snake is the most venomous....

I have imagined a fight between them....the king cobra sees the mamba coming to fight...it opens its hood...but the mamba is faster...lo! the mamba wins!

but there won't be a natural fight between them...

sometimes even though the venom goes inside the king...it may still have some strength and kill the mamba before it dies!
