When Obama said "Call me if you need me" is that change?

Obama said: This is the biggest crisis we have had since the great depression. He refused to go to Washington until he had a personal invitation from the president. Obama wants to talk about foreign affairs rather than attacking "the biggest crisis we have had since the great depression." He promises change, but backs away from a crisis.

Obama's lack of action speaks volumes.

And for some of us, it has confirmed our fears that Obama is a man of inaction and simply not ready to lead.

Further, for someone who claims he wants to change Washington politics as usual, it seems odd he would let other people resolve the greatest financial crisis our nation has seen since 1929. He's not the man I want leading our great nation during these perilous and uncertain times.

It is change in that no other person who wants to be a leader would publicly stick his head in the sand. You're either a leader or a follower. I think this statement makes the point of where he stands.

    Yes it is.

Many great & crucial decisions have been made via phone conversations, such as: what kind of toppings do you want?, you need extra soy sauce?, etc.

Don't be jealous just because the House & Senate floor are in Obama's T-Mobile myFaves plan.

Yup, it's been a long time since we had a President who backs away from responsibility, you need to go back to Carter and the Iranian crisis.

Why is Obama's presence needed. What exactly could he have done? Shouldn't the President handle that.I don't understand why everyone is attacking him.

I think that's what he said to the state of Illinois when they elected him. Apparently, his cell phone is always out of range.
