Is it safe to leave canned food in the can after opening it?

For instance, I opened up a can of spaghetti sauce and only used half. I left the other half of the sauce in the can, covered it with plastic wrap, and put it in the fridge. It's been about 6 days since then, is it still good? Is there a possibility the metal might do something harmful to the food?

Always put it in another bowl or container. The metal cans are not a safe place to leave food in after being opened. When it is closed i think the air is vacuumed but when it opens germs can make the food inside dirty and unclean.

If you have baking powder or is it soda, your spaghetti might be good. Just to be safe put the leftover in a Ziploc container and then put it in the fridge.
