SMU or UT which do you recommend?

SMU has one of the TOP business MBA programs, and the return in your investment is greater (you work hand in hand with top dallas execs and you always have connections from anyone who graduated from Cox)

if you're from Dallas and he's just wondering if he should stay in Dallas or move to Austin, he can actually get a UT MBA in Dallas, its called the mccombs school of business and its a great set up and allows you to work and get your MBA

UT is huge, but I loved the campus and I love Austin. As far as the programs go, I don't think any school has as many departments in the top 10 as UT.

And I just realized you're looking for an MBA school...I wouldn't put anything else of SMU's ahead of UT, but I will give them a slight edge with the MBA Program at Cox. Here's some numbers. Texas is good, and I'd still recommend it, but SMU might beat UT on business. Here's a list of rankings for each from many sources, you decide.

Go with UT. SMU has been scandal ridden over the years, and is allied with the corrupt Bush regime. Enough said.

UT in my opinion, the campus and student life is great. It also has a great reputation among other universities.
