Is Cena good for WWE. Pros and Cons?

Lots of people like him. Lots hate him. Is John Cena good for wrestling. He's what I think are his pros and cons and my opinion on whether or not he is good for WWE.

CONS

Personally I think he is limited in the ring. Watchin the same type of match every time get borin. He's not a technical wrestler so why does he have the STFU? I'm not feelin his promos either. Sometimes he tries to be funny and sounds lame. There was time when Cena was always on top until Vince learned to make him look human. He Held the title from April 05 - Sept 07 for all but 3 months. Long title reigns like that get boring, especailly when the champion doesn't have the charisma to pull it off. I have more, but I'll stop there

PROS

I think it's obvious watching Cena, he loves what he does. Some guys show up for the paycheck some for the love of wrestling, its hard to tell, but with Cena u can tell. If every wrestler had the same passion the industry would be 100X better. He works his *** hard, works more matches when healthy than ne other WWE wrestler by far. He sells merchandise like crazy, even if his fan base consists of women and children.I know he holds the belt alot, that was one of my cons, but Vince is the one putting it on him. Its amazing the success he gets without backstage politics. U never hear the bad stuff about Cena that u hear about Triple H or Hogan. I have more cons but I'm out runnin out of space.

VERDICT.

Love him or hate him Cena is good, no, Cena is great for wrestling. The good thinks outweigh the bad stuff by far. I'm not a big fan, but I respect anyone who can find something to be passionate about and give 100%.

Now that my rant is over, what are your thoughts?

Your statement was very level headed. I admire you for that. I can say I'm not a fan of him and I don't like it when he does the STFU or be funny b/c it sometimes comes out empty-handed. But if it works for the company and he really loves what he's doing, there's nothing better. Starred

John Cena is definitely really good for the WWE in some ways, and bad in other ways.

I guess you could say that I am pretty neutral towards John Cena, I definitely would not want him to be WWE champion, but without the title he's alright.

Pros: He definitely attracts the younger audience and the females, wich again, is both good and bad. Very good since he's going to be getting the business ratings, and selling a heck of a lot of merchandise! He can also tell a good story in the ring. Furthermore, as you said, he has a passion for wrestling and definitely is a very clean guy outside of the ring. It's good that he's not in the wrestling news every second for trashing hotel rooms or backstage politics.

Cons: As I said before, he attracts women and children. Anyway you put it, it's a matter of opinion on if this is a good or bad thing. I named this a pro earlier, but it can definitely be a con. As part of the "Attitude Era", the WWF was clearly directed to male 16-year-olds and up. As 2002 rolled around, the WWE became more "PG 13" wich many people definitely don't like. What I'm trying to say is that Cena may water down the excitement of wrestling for long-time wrestling fans. Another obvious con is the lack of wrestling moves that John Cena posses. I personally don't really have a problem with this but it's fine. Furthermore, another problem I have is this "STFU" submission move. It makes me sick to my stomach that John Cena can submit opponents when he is neither a grappler nor a submission wrestler. Lastly, I hate John Cena's promos passionately. His promos are boring and repetitive and he clearly tries to be too funny, but again, it's for the women and children. Lastly, long title reigns are extremely unappealing, but then again, it's not his fault. Vince McMahon was the one who put the title on him, but without the charisma that people like The Rock have, it's hard for Cena to pull off long title reigns.

In conclusion, I don't mind Cena, as long as he doesn't have a World Title on him.

experts- a million. it may help get over with the followers 2. no better severe pitched Cena chants 3. Cena can do better ruthless such issues as he used to at the same time as he replaced into in his Thug Gimmick 4. Can positioned him adverse to some face wrestlers he hasn't lengthy gone adverse to yet. 5. Can end with the not in any respect again down not in any respect end weekly bullcrap Cons- a million. WWE looses Cena merchandise sales from youthful ones yet will probably benefit some from adults.

I think that he has always entertained the crowd and on his entrance it has never been quiet, it's always either boos or cheers. I think he's good for the WWE, but many people used to hate a lot because they said that he always uses the same five moves or because he's always in the main event, or they just said he sucks and that he can't wrestle, and that there was all thee haters clubs and everything, but with all those clubs and haters, he just became even more popular, no matter if you love him or hate him. But kids love him and he makes a lot of money for the company, especially by merchandise.

i am a big cena fan, but they need to put him in the underdog situation again, instead of the guy who just always wins. and i think that the PG-rating is holding him back immensly. i remember when he was funny smack-talkin rappin cena. but the worst he can say now is poopy, and he would even get heat for that.....and i personally would like to see him with gold sometime soon again.Tag team intercontinental or World heavyweight champ would fit him perfectly. i think his charecter is a little boring when hes not THE CHAMP.

Verdict: i agree, he is good 4WWE

I agree with you that sometimes it seems like Cena is boring, but not anymore boring than HHH. Look at him tonight on SD, High knee, clothesline, Spinebuster...same moves...then pedigree....same ole same ole....It's called their routine...love them or hate them...as you say....EVERY Wrestler has their sets of moves...thats just the way it is. Frome Cena, to HHH, to Flair, to HBK, to Batista, etc.

Grant it some people may SELL there move lists a bit better, but unfortunately WWE does not help them sell moves, its the wrestlers themselves and their opponents. Look at Rey Mysterio, Evan Bourne, Jeff Hardy, etc. Also some guys to watch Teddy Hart & Jack Evans (Hart Foundation 2) etc. you can see them here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hcu5GYI6X4g

Why do the WWE Wrestlers not wrestle to this caliber? Realize the likes of the WWE Superstarts dont wrestle like this ALL the time because it shortens their careers, and it would take ALOT of training to RETRAIN the starts to wrestle like these guys. Also it takes the help of their opponents to pull off these moves. So grant it the Hart foundation 2 guys are AMAZING, but it takes the opponents to sell the moves. If they arent skilled enough to HELP pull of the moves, they are useless. Thats why people like CM Punk and Evan Bourne wont be utilized to their fullest extent because their wwe opponents are not wrestling at that level. Hence the 5 move cena comments and such. It's not that the wwe starts suck, they just dont have the set list that wwe allows them to use (they are limited to only what wwe allows) due to safety and training etc.

Now I Like Cena. And truely like him alot. I think he HAD great Mic skills...and still has GOOD mic skills even tho he's not doing the rap promos as much. He still has his witty comments and they still come out like it or not....he's got alot of heart, and alot of passion as you said. And you can't knock alot of the guys who get utilized the way WWE WANTS them to be utilized.
