I'm glad you're feeling guilty, 'cause it shows you care. People that really "care" about spiders are extremely rare. Spiders are very beneficial to our planet, but most people don't realize this.
It is very difficult to handle tiny, little spiders. At that age they are extremely fragile. I'm sure you tried your best not to hurt it, but things happen. It was not your fault.
It was not a sin, and God has nothing to do with it. I don't want to get into religion here, but praying to God will avail you nothing. Caring and loving all the wild animals of the world will. Even my wife, and she's a woman, loves all creatures, even the most unlikely, like Bats, and bugs.
Take care, and be well.

Well i really don't think you should feel guilty, considering it was just a reaction. Ive gotten to know most species of spiders and i let them stay in my house, i even handle some of them! I never kill a spider on purpose, but if there is a life-threatening spider in my house, i will catch him and put him outside to continue living its life in happiness. I have at least 50 spiders living in my house right now, i usually open the door to let some mosquitos in for them at nighttime so they do not starve. Spiders are wonderful creatures, and i too, am a christian. You can get over your phobia by getting to know spiders more, observing them, and even handling them! Despite the internet myths going around, the black widow and brown recluse are the only deadly spiders in north america , and even they, are unlikely to cause a fatality. I strongly hope this answer helps you, as i have accidentally killed a spider that i was trying to catch to keep as a pet, and i accidentally killed it, and i feel terrible.

That's really funny, because some spiders I really couldn't care less about, and others seem more... substantial. I'll kill a daddy long legs with my bare hands without a problem, and most small house spiders I just pick up and squash with a tissue. But larger spiders, they almost seem too substantial to just throw away like garbage.
Still, you're bordering on obsessive to be actually getting upset over such issues. What next, ignoring an ant infestation because you might hurt their feelings if they knew you wanted them to leave?

Awwww.... pooor spidey... what did you do! Bad boy, bad! Go feed some cockroaches with something nice. And leave a peace of raw meet on a pretty plate so weetle flies could feed their baby maggots on it!

wow, a careless sin???c'mon, learn to think for yourself. God could not care less what bugs, or how many bugs you kill. You might want to think about leaving the church that is teaching you this...

Don't beat yourself up over it, but its okay to feel bad when something dies. Just don't hate yourself for it. It was an accident.

You should be worry about all those innocent people who dies every day without any reason instead of a small spider.
