The link provided tells you about canonization. It explains how Israel and the church recognized books as inspired by God and some not. It wasn't some random selection on whatever they felt. It was those that stood the test of being written by a prophet or apostle, consistent with what God already said, and consistent with historical facts.

The compilation of the Bible was done by God through divine intervention. He chose certain men to lay out His Word so that all would know Him.
Oh, and that Muslim who said the Bible says islam is the true religion obviously never read the Christian Bible.
