How should I cook a frozen strawberry rhubarb pie?
My mom made a some pies from scratch and then froze them. I'd like to cook one now, but she passed away and I cant ask her what to do. Does anyone know how I should bake it since it's been frozen for a while. I was going to put a little milk on the crust then bake it for 1 hour at 350 degrees, does that sound right? Thanks.

Everytime I bake a homemade frozen pie, I just set it on the counter to thaw first. When it is thawed or almost thawed, that is when I bake it. Also, I always take a cookie sheet, line with aluminum foil and place on the rack UNDER the pie. Do not place the cookie sheet under the actual pie. That way if it drips, you won't make a huge mess in your oven. 350 for about an hour work work then. If put it in frozen, the crust will get done before the center of the pie even gets warm. If you want a shiny crust, brush with a mixture of milk and egg.

Have baked frozen blueberry pies from freezer to oven. How long would a strawberry-rhubarb need to bake from freezer to oven?
