My boyfriend and I live together. I had a baby in Sept. 2009. I am claiming her as a dependent, but can he get the EIC because he provides half of her support during the year, and pays for half of the household expenses?

I'm having a baby in September and could use the help of some free samples since I'll be out of work for 6 weeks. All the websites I've been on want me to sign up for offers. Are there any that I can just get the samples without signing up for anything?

My nephew is turning 12 this weekend, and he likes music and has asked for an MP3 player. He likes rock music, and I'd like to put some on it before I give it to him, but I need some song ideas.I love rock music but his parents are not that into rock, so I have to make sure the language is appropriate and that it's ok for a kid. My mom made a some pies from scratch and then froze them. I'd like to cook one now, but she passed away and I cant ask her what to do. Does anyone know how I should bake it since it's been frozen for a while. I was going to put a little milk on the crust then bake it for 1 hour at 350 degrees, does that sound right? Thanks.

I'm on the do not call list, but we keep getting these phone calls from a florida number, I'm in NH, all hours of the day, any day of the week! When we call the number back, either it's busy or no one answers. They call, but when I answer, no one says anything! How do I get them to stop?

I don't even have a chance to ask them who they are or where they're calling from, because it seems like they hang up right away! It's a land line, and I have a feeling it's some kind of company, not a single person. I dont now what to do...can I do anything legally?

My boyfriend, who is now 27, and an upstanding citizen, got into some trouble between 1998 and 2002. He was always in the wrong place at the wrong time. Well, he has 4 incidents where he was arrested, and was told an attorney would be provided if he couldnt afford one. Well, he wasnt working during some of these times, so he filled out the paperwork for the attorney, assuming it was free. Well, 10 years later, we have a family and a home with full time jobs, and he's getting letters in the mail saying that he owes these attorneys for almost 1, 500$! I cant believe it! He doesnt understand why they say one will be appointed if you cant afford it, then they charge you anyways! We cant afford this! Now I'm angry at him for doing stupid things when he was 17 to 20 years old! Even though he's a hard worker and a great provider now! How can the courts do this? Is there a way around it?

My 8 year old son has a rat terrier thats about 6 or 7 years old. He died suddenly yesterday, right after he was playing with his other dog. He had a physical just 3 months ago, and they said he was fine! My son is devestated, and I dont know how to explain this. He's had this dog since he was 2.

My mother passed away unexpectedly last April, and her IRA was split between my brothers & I. We used it for her funeral, she didnt have a will or life insurance. I'm being taxed on $6,000 now. For 2 seperate IRA's. By claiming the smaller IRA money, which is 2000$, it puts me over the limit to get the EIC, by a few hundred dollars. Can I claim one this year and one next year? I really need the money this year, because I'm stuck paying some of my moms bills still. or would I get into trouble if I claimed them both, but maybe made them out to be a couple hundred less then what they really are? I hate to do this, but my sons dad is claiming my son, and I'm so short on money, that I'm barely getting by. I dont want to lose my house, or anything and the EIC could really help right now. Please Help! Thanks
