anybody know roughly how much it costs to convert a wood fireplace to gas ?
My wood fireplace is on an outside wall. It works fine, but when the wind blows a certain way the smoke comes in. Pain. I cannot find anything to give me a general idea of how much the conversion would be. Any info appreciated.

The cost of a plumber to plumb the gas line, which nobody can guess, and the cost of the insert, which you purchase. Any amount you wish.
Call a plumber for an estimte, and shop for the insert.
