2 AnswersComputer Networking10 years agoOnce you're 18 can you voluntarily file an income tax return in Canada?
If you turn 18 mid-year you are not considered a dependant during that year at all, though you used to be. So...can you then file an income tax return even if your earnings are only in the hundreds of dollars? Cannot find that answer anywhere on the CRA website (which sucks). Thanks!

I want to set up a wireless network. I bought a d-link adapter for my desktop and a laptop with wi-fi. I also bought a d-link wireless router. I'm pretty good with computers but people have told me the order in which I do things is important - any guidance on how to do this would be appreciated. Merci.

2 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoWeird question re: strep throat?
My son (16) has it. And mono. boo for him. He is on penicillin and has been for 2 days now. He's still very inflamed, sore ears, etc. but at 5pm he spikes a fever that's significant - 102.9 last night and tonight he's at 101. My wood fireplace is on an outside wall. It works fine, but when the wind blows a certain way the smoke comes in. Pain. I cannot find anything to give me a general idea of how much the conversion would be. Any info appreciated.

7 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoWhich is the best way to install windows?
I have gotten 2 quotes, 5k difference between each! One's framed-out and one is framed-in. I currently have wooden windows, these quotes are PVC 4.8 R factor.
I wouldn't mind saving the $5k and the sales guy says there's no diff. except I'd have to paint trim inside. Which I can do.
?? Help?? Merci.
6 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoHow much to replace a mid-efficiency gas furnace?
Mine's 18. Gonna go. I want to save now but everyplace I call won't even give me an idea of how much it might be. Don't need duct work or anything, just a new furnace.
3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoHas anyone replaced windows in Ottawa?
I just got an estimate to replace the windows in my home - R5 windows, all PVC. Holy smokes $17,000!
Any one have any recommendations as to other companies I could get estimates from?
Many thanks.
3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoShould I hedge or repair my wood fence?
Which alternative is cheaper? Part of my fence (the back, spanning the width of the property) has collapsed off the cement post. It's rotten. About 8-10 feet or so and it's on one end. But the other 30 feet or so of wood fencing seems fine.
I don't know how I'd reattach new wood onto the existing post - do I need to remove it and do the cement thing again? Ugh
My neighbour's keen to fix it as well, so we'd share the cost/labour.
I have no idea how much it would cost to redo a wooden fence of 40' or plant hedges instead and take the remaining fence down altogether.
All advice welcomed. Thanks.
