Weird question re: strep throat?
My son (16) has it. And mono. boo for him. He is on penicillin and has been for 2 days now. He's still very inflamed, sore ears, etc. but at 5pm he spikes a fever that's significant - 102.9 last night and tonight he's at 101. I can get it down, but I'm wondering if he should be on other meds. Doctor now on vacation. Any advice appreciated.

use tylenol to bring down the fever. cold compresses also helps.but if the fever goes back over 102 take him to the ER

you need to wrap him up in several blankets and let him sweat the fever out. also, put some lemon juice in his nostrils,, it will drain down the back of his throat and ease the swelling
