Did any events in your life make you gain faith?

Definitely. During times of family difficulties, I found great peace in my faith in God. During a a recent 13 month period of unemployment I found God's provision unmistakable and his guidance was remarkable. I see God at work in my life in many ways and circumstances. The more I trust in God, the more real and the more faithful I find Him to be.

His love and peace are amazing. I also gain faith when I see how he has changed me to become more and more like the person He and I want me to be.

i had a 5 disc cd changer about 5 years ago. i was feeling pretty broken and was like God if you are real send me a sign (doesn't everybody do that at some point?) and all of the sudden the cd i was listening to stopped midsong and i heard the discs change, then i watched the tracks skip and before i knew it i was listening to a song about not giving up and having faith. wierd thing is i never put that cd in. needless to say i got no sleep haha.

Yes. I was raised in church and even got saved around 8 or 9 but I didn't live for God and neither did my parents. So, around 20 I was questioning whether God was even real. I had lived a life of utter hopelessness and despair. I had a hole the size of texas in my heart that nothing could fill. I felt empty on the inside.

I decided to find out if God was real so I started seeking him. For the first time in my life, my mother could not help me. No one could help me. I wouldn't listen to them anyway even if they tried to help me. I wanted an answer from God himself, if he was real. I turned away from everything, even watching tv and started crying out to Him. I never gave up calling on Him. I was DETERMINED that He would answer me and one day... He answered. It was amazing!! I went down on my knees in my bedroom one way, and when I got up my whole view of the world was different. The biggest change was my fearlessness and my LOVE for people!!
