Is it possible that the current financial crisis is the biggest undetected terrorist attack in history?
It all started with the oil crisis, and we all know who the OPEC members are: Algeria, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela.

First our money has been devalued, and oil is a big concern, now we are all doing ourselves in with this economy. They are all sitting back and laughing at us and waiting for the ship to sink. They don't have to do anything, we are doing it to ourselves.
Greed and no controls, and not having to answer to anybody. Waste on pork barrel projects, cost overrides and who decides who should have and not have these grants to study the sex lives of frogs or whatever, and why is there no answering for how this money is being spent, and why. they just seem to hand it out freely and no one has to answer for anything. and who makes the decision that they should have these grants in the first place>
Waste $700 toilet seats and $700 Billion dollar buyouts, does not help the common man. We are talking Billions here not $5.00. If we did that with our own finances we would all be living on the streets No one is going to bail us out.
Why does it seem that there are only a few people running this country, and not one of them is the President. Congress and the Senate, are so busy infighting amongst themselves that they can't see the forest through the trees. Each one does not want the other to get an advantage over the other. They are not concerned about the common working man, screw them. Now they have vetoed the plan and will be taking off till Thursday or later till they come back and start all over to devise a plane of how to get us out of the mess. And it still may get a veto. You wonder why nothing ever gets done at the Capital.
And the President thinks we may e headed for a recession/depression, something we have been talking about for how many months now, and e just figured that out. People back in Washington just have their heads buried in the sand. and we Americans are having to bear the blunt of these blunders in our day to day survival.

I suppose anything is possible but I don't think this a terrorist attack.
I think this is all a home grown problem. I like to follow the money on things like this and a lot of that money has ended up in politicians hands. Barny Frank and Obama have received some very nice campaign contributions from Freddy and Fanny. These "Businesses" know who is watching their back. The problem is the liberals belief that everyone is entitled to own a home. The facts don't support that. A person making $1500 a month can not afford a $2000 a month house payment plus insurance, taxes, utilities, a vehicle, phone service, food, and the list goes own. When mortgage companies are encouraged to loan to these people they have to do some creative financing. Interest only loans for the first few years, reverse amitorizarion, or some other creations I may not be aware of. At some point these loans must adjust and that is what is happening. FDR started it, President Johnson gave it some help and the liberals have been screaming about "Affordable Housing " (spell that cheap or free) ever since.
No sir, while you could conceivable have a point, I think this is all home grown and we have no one to blame but vote buying Democrats and wimpish Republicans too chicken to take any action to correct it.
My suggestion is to vote out all incumbents and to do so on an ongoing basis. Someone once said that 'Politicians and diapers should both be changed frequently and for the very same reason'.

Terrorist attack? Possible. I still like to believe it is within our government who does not put regulations where they belong. Anyone who lets a credit card company charge upwards of 30% is not looking out for the county's interest. They could see this coming, but do they worry about how they are gonna fill up their gas tank to go to work or how they are gonna pay their mortgage or even save a few dollars? They will just give themselves a raise if things get tight, you know, like 3-4 hundred thousand dollars isn't enough to live on. If things don't change they will eventually see another revolution!!!

Nah, we just have the wrong people in charge. McCain won't help, nor will Obama. I'm going to avoid it all by moving to a better country. Seems like the United States will never be perfect. Our corrupt government is just making this "beautiful and free country" worse.

It had nothing to do with the oil crisis, the problem started when Ronald Reagan began a program of spending billions of dollars we didn't have and encouraging everyone in the country to do the same. We maxed out our credit cards and are now having problems maintaining our wasteful lifestyles, no one had to attack, this is all our own doing.

Yes, it's possible, but the terrorists are hiding under the guise of carefully strategized names like, "CEO" and "Secretary of the Treasury".
Paulsen is worth like 500million?? Well of course he and all the other millionaires in office want a rescue plan.
I hope I'm not too ignorant and just don't understand that this would really help me, but seeing we haven't been able to save up enough for a down-payment on a home (we're talking a home under 200,000.00) and our credit is being held against us from some mistakes from 5-8 years ago...(even though we have made car payment on time for two years, all utilities & rent paid on time, steady income and tax returns to prove it) why would I want to see my husband's labor taxed so others can keep their Mc Mansions they couldn't afford in the 1st place, and so the CEO's and all the other sneaky politicians can have their stock portfolios protected.
What if we all refuse to pay taxes this coming April 14th if this all turns out to be a big scam, will someone bail us out? Carry our weight? I think not.

It's an interesting thought... but this seems to have all the earmarks of unbridled greed coupled with criminal neglect and dereliction of corporate duty on the part of senior management of a multitude of financial institutions.

Could be who knows...Saudis and Arabs are very shrewd
The problem with Americans is that we underestimate other countries and now we're getting out *** handed to us on a platter

Wish I could blame someone other than our own stuck-on-stupid administration.
But alas; it's not true that all Middle-Easterners are terrorists ... or that every ill
that befalls us is a terrorist conspiracy.

This is a distinct possibility. Even the Bible predicts a time when all the world will have only one currency. That would mean the demise of the American dollar. Bad times ahead..........we need to be prepared, and become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Bible.
