Can not connect to xbox live MTU problem?

Question

Last night I was playing COD4 on xbox live...this morning i cant connect to live. I ran a test and it said m MTU failed. I did not change any settings on my router infact i lost the username and password for the router. what else could be the problem

They sent out a message to all Live subscribers telling them the service would be down for 24 hours.

Perfect answered my question too. Have exactly the same problem. servers must be down so don't change anything and wait until tomorrow.

Live was hacked and the whole east coast servers are off line.
